2. Interface/interphase characterization

There are currently no standardized methods for quantifying interphase quality. However, various techniques have been developed and are widely used by both the scientific and industrial communities. These include microscopic analysis, physico-chemical analysis, micromechanical testing on monofilament model composites and macroscopic mechanical testing on industrial composites.
