4. Mathematical processing and behavior models
As we have seen in 4 , polymeric materials are characterized by complex macroscopic behavior and varied viscoelastic and/or viscoplastic mechanical responses that depend on strain rates, temperature and stress levels applied to the material.
The aim of this section is to present the equation of polymer behavior models and to provide tools for simple and rapid modeling of these materials. These models are presented using a one-dimensional approach. Only the mechanical behavior of polymers in the solid state is considered (not in the fluid domain).
