5. Improving the tribological properties of plastics
The friction properties of plastics can be improved in three different ways:
by modifying their molecular structure or super-structure;
by blending with other polymers;
by adding certain fillers to the polymers.
Here, we consider only the last two possibilities.
5.1 Polymer blends
