3. Experimental results

Most articles in the bibliography focus on the properties of materials produced using micro-compounders, but very few describe their operation or the influence of operating parameters. In the following, we will focus on ThermoFisher machines, for which more data are available, but the general results obtained can of course also be applied to Xplore machines.

3.1 Pressure, flow and temperature

On ThermoFisher machines, the pressure of the two sensors located in the recirculation channel is a very easy parameter to measure. The following results were obtained with MFI polypropylene ( Melt Flow Index) equal to 6 g/10 min, in the corotative configuration. As shown in figure
