4.1 Layer homogeneity

Flow instabilities and defects are inherent to the multilayer coextrusion process, and there is an abundance of literature on the subject aimed at identifying the various defects and the parameters responsible for their occurrence . These defects are all the more critical when layer thicknesses are low, as they can lead either to the disappearance of a layer, or to layer rupture phenomena (§ 4.2
