2. Current and future applications

The variety of technological solutions on offer opens up a vast array of possible applications. A survey of existing markets, based on an analysis of international technical literature and manufacturers' catalogs, has identified six areas of growth.

  • Fuel tanks for vehicles

    A distinction must be made here:

    • on the one hand, cylindrical-spherical tanks mounted on the roof or underneath natural gas vehicles (commonly called Compressed Natural Gas: CNG; Natural Gas Vehicle: NGV; Gaz Naturel pour Vehicules: GNV), widely used on buses, cabs, utility vehicles (vans, pick-ups, trucks) at operating pressures of 200 bar [2][3][13]
