4. Experimental validation

Validation of this numerical model is carried out on two types of carbon/epoxy composite material supplied by Hexcel Composites. The first material is referenced M21-T700GC, the second material is referenced EH25-T2H. From these two materials, 16-ply sheets with a quasi-isotropic stacking sequence are produced in an autoclave. Then, 4.8 mm diameter blind holes are drilled for a different number of plies under the drill. To control the end of the drilling cycle, machining is carried out on a machining center. Quasi-static punching tests are carried out on an INSTRON-type tensile testing machine (figure 6 ).
