Reinforced plastics allow a great deal of freedom in the design of parts, but there are a number of limitations to be taken into account. There are a few general rules that apply whatever the process and structure used, but each process also has its own possibilities and limitations.
This is why the design of a composite part cannot be dissociated from the process used to produce it.
