Their multi-functional nature is already well established, making it possible to envisage the substitution of high-performance mineral fillers such as silica, stabilizers composed of metallic elements, or organic compounds such as polymeric impact agents. The main advantages of these substitutions are a reduction in the overall cost of formulations, and the use of compounds with a more positive environmental image.
