5. Conclusion
Over the past decade, considerable progress has been made in modeling polymer forming processes. We now have three-dimensional compressible models, coupling mechanical and thermal phenomena, with constitutive laws that give a realistic account of polymer behavior in stationary and unsteady situations.
However, many challenges remain before these methods can be fully operational :
