2.1 A few definitions
For several decades now, faced with the rising cost of "disasters" (workplace accidents, collapsed structures, disorders of all kinds, etc.), all those involved in the act of building have been increasingly aware of the notions of "prevention" and "pathology".
The choice of words in such awareness-raising is important, so it is necessary to clarify their meaning at the beginning of this article.

According to the dictionary, a "claim" is an event that causes damage to oneself or to others, and is likely to trigger an insurer's coverage.
