10.1 Industrial policy
In order to guarantee the best possible performance of its nuclear power plants at all times, in terms of both safety and production, EDF relies on external companies capable of supplying equipment or carrying out certain activities under the best conditions of quality, safety and security. This outsourcing is governed by an industrial policy designed to :
competent suppliers who have mastered the design of the various parts of the installations, and are capable of intervening to maintain or modify them;
maintain a panel of service providers with the resources and skills needed to maintain and modernize facilities, with trained, experienced and loyal staff;
