4. Conclusion
The IEC 60300-3-11 standard provides a guide and a set of recommendations to be followed when implementing a maintenance method based on MBF reliability. It is part of the methodological framework for operational safety defined by the IEC, with the 60300 series of standards to be used. The failure management policy recommended by the MBF-CEI standard concerns the equipment and structures of complex industrial systems. The entire procedure recommended for establishing MBF maintenance tasks and developing them in line with the performance achieved is based on five stages: definition of objectives and planning, functional failure analysis, task selection, implementation and continuous improvement.
