7. Conclusion
The overall criticality assessment methodology presented in this article highlights the essential steps to be followed. Among the important points to be respected at the start of a criticality study are: the definition of objectives designed to evaluate and correct situations deemed unsatisfactory by the various players involved, the description of the characteristics of the equipment to be analyzed and its limits. Next, a tree structure is essential, as many qualitative and quantitative criticality research methods are based on these functional analyses. To achieve the desired objectives, the choice of qualitative or quantitative criticality characteristics is of paramount importance.
