The suggestions made in this paragraph should be considered in the light of the situation at the time of writing. For the time being, intelligent instrumentation is very little used in French industry. As the market is not developed, industrial users cannot rely on service providers and integrators to carry out projects using these technologies.

Based on our experience, our recommendations for facilitating the use of these technologies are as follows:

  • draw up specifications setting out the framework for the use of intelligent instrumentation and the main objectives sought:

    • remote maintenance,

    • decentralized processing,

    • wiring,

    • commissioning... ;
