4. Conclusion
Robots are becoming an increasingly important part of our lives, and if we want to continue developing our robotics activities in a sustainable way, we need to think about their eco-design as early as possible. This article therefore looks at the environmental impact of robots, and the ways in which these impacts can be reduced.
After a brief review of ecodesign in general and the associated tools, the main factors influencing the environmental impact of a robot were examined. Two main classes of techniques for reducing the environmental impact of robots were highlighted:
techniques for reducing energy consumption ;
replacement of robot bodies with parts made from materials with low environmental impact.
