4. Analysis of design activities: ALU and CLU due to design choices at different levels
The results of the analysis of design activities, through the monitoring and a posteriori analysis of two design projects, highlight difficulties arising from a lack of knowledge about the work, its requirements, and its effects on operators.
Safety standards, rules and laws exist, but beyond these formal aspects, designers lack tools and feedback on day-to-day operation and critical situations. We then present the main malfunctions that result from design choices in relation, on the one hand, to industrial equipment and, on the other, to safety management and company organization.
