3. Notions of codiagnosability
The notion of "diagnosability" makes it possible to formally verify whether a set of predefined faults is diagnosable within a limited timeframe, based on a model of the system and a set of observable events . The notion of codiagnosability is intended to verify that any fault that can be diagnosed by a centralized diagnostician can also be diagnosed by at least one local diagnostician, using his or her own observations. The notion of codiagnosability therefore makes it possible to verify the property of global diagnosability of a system in a decentralized way, based on all local diagnosticians.
