3. Maintenance studies

3.1 General objectives

Maintenance must be guided by the company's overall objectives, and be regulated on the basis of the discrepancy between expected and observed performance.

It is therefore useful, first of all, to identify the performance expectations on which maintenance can have a significant leverage effect:

  • the availability of production facilities, taking into account their capacity and market demand;

  • the quality of the service or product delivered;
