3.1 Common Agricultural Policy
The Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) was established by the Treaty of Rome (articles 38 and 39). It establishes a common market organization to ensure regular supplies and a fair standard of living for farmers.
Among the principles of the CAP, Community preference is the one that has a direct impact on customs regulations.
