  • What role does continuous handling play in the French economy?

    • Handling industry production in 1997 totaled 16 million francs, including 3.4 million francs for continuous handling, i.e. around 20%. However, trends in the handling sector are highly unpredictable, with a downward trend in the continuous handling of isolated loads and a return to growth in the handling of bulk products (table 1 ).
