4.1 Construction, building, fixtures and fittings
One of PMMA's first applications in the 1950s was for bathtubs. This market continues. A third of all bathtubs in Europe are made of PMMA, but growth is slow, outstripped by that of newer applications such as skylights, roof domes, tunnels, domes, barriers, stairwell railings, glazing, door panels, window frames, sanitary fittings, shower cubicles and shower trays.

enclosed spaces for sports, swimming pool covers ;
